Flavien Solt is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the National University of Singapore. Before joining NUS, he was a postdoctoral researcher at UC Berkeley, where he collaborated with Professor Christopher Fletcher’s research group. He received his PhD under the supervision of Prof. Kaveh Razavi from ETH Zurich in 2024, recognized with the ETH Medal. His research centers on the correctness and security of the lower levels of computers. He develops offensive methods that uncover and exploit vulnerabilities deep in the computing stack, together with defenses that protect systems against them. His work combines dynamic techniques such as hardware fuzzing and information-flow tracking with formal verification and AI-driven methods, with the goal of making hardware security analysis more scalable and effective.
