The E.M. Gold Award

Each year one scholarship of EUR 555 is awarded to a student author of an excellent paper; the paper can be coauthored by other researchers, as long as the student makes an important contribution towards the paper. Student submissions should be marked as such when submitting to the conference Algorithmic Learning Theory. The prize is named after E. Mark Gold, who made ground-breaking contributions to algorithmic learning theory and formalised Inductive Inference in a way which is used up to now in the field.
