Ms Chong Chuan Neo Class of 1985
Ms Chong Chuan Neo graduated in 1985 from the then Department of Information Systems and Computer Science, Science Faculty, National University of Singapore.
As a student, she was active with co-curricular activities and engaged well with her fellow students and faculty staff. Till today, she continues to maintain strong bonds with her cohort.
Upon graduation Chuan Neo joined Accenture (then Arthur Andersen Associates) as an aspiring consultant. With the years past, she has spent more than two decades with the firm and became the Global Managing Director for Accenture’s Transportation and Travel Services.
Chuan Neo has extensive experience in helping clients design and change their business processes and systems to achieve business benefits. Over the last 18 years she has been involved with clients in the airline, road and shipping sectors. Her focus has been in the following areas:
- Design of business/IT organisation structures to support business strategies
- Design and implementation of business intelligence/information warehouse, supply chain management processes
- Implementation of enterprise-wide systems
- Design of shared service organisation which includes IT and business process
Chuan Neo is an exemplary model for woman computing professionals. Within the firm, she has been regularly cited as the role model for fellow colleagues who wish to be successful Asians taking on global responsibilities. She is also the first Asian woman to be appointed to the Global Management Council.
Chuan Neo has worked extensively with local clients in Singapore as well as large multi-national clients across the Asia Pacific. Some of the key clients whom she has worked with include Singapore Airlines, Singapore Comfort-Delgro group, and multinational shipping companies listed in Singapore. Some non-transport clients whom she has worked with include Johnson and Johnson, Astra Zeneca, British American Tobacco, Motorola and Xerox.
