Asian Business Plan Competition (ABPC)

The Asian Business Plan Competition (ABPC) is an exciting annual event that three top universities host on a rotation basis: NUS (Computing), Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) and National Tsing Hua University (NTHU). Launched in 2024 with NUS Computing as the first host, this competition encourages cross-disciplinary collaboration, with students from these universities working together to solve real-world challenges using cutting-edge technologies. In 2025, NTHU will host the competition, continuing this tradition of fostering innovation and entrepreneurship across cultures and disciplines.

You are invited to apply for the 16 places available to NUS to participate in this exciting experience!

Eligibility Criteria:

  • You must be a full-time student at NUS Computing.
  • You must participate fully in the 11-day activity at the NTHU in Taiwan, which involves scheduled activities such as company visits, team deliberations, workshops and the final pitch day.
  • You should have a strong interest and some involvement with entrepreneurship, innovation and technological problem-solving.
  • You must not have previously participated in ABPC.

Your application will be assessed on the following criteria:  

  • Involvement and experience in innovation and entrepreneurship.
  • Strong passion for entrepreneurship and a desire to make a meaningful impact.
  • Ability to work well within a team.

Dates: 22 June to 2 July 2025 (11 days/10 nights)

Location: National Tsing Hua University (NTHU), Taiwan 

Topic for 2025: AIoT & Edge AI. This year’s competition challenges participants to design solutions that leverage AIoT and Edge AI to address critical societal and industrial challenges. The focus is on how these technologies can improve efficiency, sustainability and quality of life in Taiwan and beyond.

How to Apply:

  • Submit your resume (include details of your academic background, relevant experience and any involvement in innovation or entrepreneurship projects.)
  • Submit a one-minute self-recorded video. In the video, briefly explain your passion for entrepreneurship and share why you should be selected to represent SoC at the competition.
