Background

KPMG gave NUS School of Computing an expendable cash Gift of SGD240,000 in September 2023.

Objectives

The objective of the KPMG scholarship is to offer significant support through two full-term scholarships, each valued at SGD60,000, to deserving undergraduate students enrolled in the School of Computing.

Eligibility Criteria

Beginning in Semester I of the Academic Year 2024/2025, the eligibility criteria for these scholarships are outlined as follows:

  1. Citizenship Criteria: Applicants must be Singapore Citizens.
  2. Enrollment Status: Applicants should be enrolled as full-time undergraduate students in the School of Computing.
  3. Financial Need: Candidates should be from households with an average Per-Capita-Income (PCI) of less than or equal to SGD3,000.
  4. Community Contributions: Preference will be given to applicants who have demonstrated active involvement in community service or school initiatives before matriculating into the University through their efforts in volunteerism.
  5. Enrollment Commitment: Acceptance of the scholarship is contingent upon the recipient remaining a full-time undergraduate student in the School of Computing throughout the duration of the scholarship.
  6. Selection and Administration: The University holds complete responsibility for and has sole discretion in the selection of eligible undergraduates and the administration of the scholarship.
  7. Financial Assistance: Each eligible student will receive SGD15,000 per year, with the scholarship being renewable for a maximum duration of 4 years per student.

Application and Selection Procedure

Candidates will be considered among Computing freshmen and shortlisted for interviews through their application for admissions to NUS-NUS scholarships should they be joining the School at the start of the new academic year.
