Algorithms for Peptide Sequencing via Tandem Mass Spectrometry
Ye Nan
Peptide sequencing plays a fundamental role in proteomics. Improving the efficiency and accuracy of sequencing algorithms is at the center of researches on peptide sequencing. Two important problems are charge determination of parent peptide ion and characterization of a set of spectrums. In this paper, we propose a linear time algorithm to accurately determine parent peptide charge, and study some useful characteristics for a set of spectra.
