• The course requires the students to read some research papers. It is a nice way of teaching students. Overall the course is good.
• May not be suitable for parttimers as it place a heavy emphasis on practical work done.
• This is an excellent course. Has lot of potential for good applications. Work load is high because of the expectations towards the research project. It should be handled as a non-reserach project and also other work-loads can be evened to make it more learning for Indutry practioners and also the students about to join the Indutry soon. Lot of good ideas have been discussed. This type of courses are importnat at MComp level. Some more application oriented network related courses will enhance Mcomp curriculam in general. More and more should tune towards Industry, not just Acedamia.

• The lecture is very clear and the presentation material is well planned and written. Good practical concepts were demo'ed during the lecture. Bit toomuch workload if you really want to read us all the papers.
• This module is good enough, but cover too much knowledge.
• A very useful course. It helps me to know the whole system.
• The material of the course was very well explained with emphasizes on important issues and interesting ideas. Module’s notes are very good. Course is not very easy but all difficulties of the course easy to understand due to the good explanation. The structure of the course is the best what can be for postgraduates. There is no final exam (in research you don’t need exams) but there is everything what you need for research. Review papers, survey paper and project. Those things are the important components of research. Continues assignments and exams as in other courses – those are just crap, for kids, for undergrads. I was passing exams like for last 5 years, why after becoming PhD student I have to do it again? I am not in that age (hmm) and besides, research is not exam.
• - Strengths: help me know how to do research, how to read and comment the scientific papers, how to write paper, how to do survey on a field, etc. - Weakness: the workload is too heavy. The teacher's requirement is too high, thus, it's very difficult for students to get acceptable grades. I've spent a lot of time for this module. It's a coursework only, and students have their own research to do. He/She cannot spend all time to study just 1 coursework like this, and it's very difficult to do a research project which requires new ideas in only one semester.

• the scope of the lecture is very wide and thus most of the time, its just 'touch and go'.
