PowerPoint Tips & Tricks for everyday use

Here are some PowerPoint related stuff I found to be VERY useful.

During the slideshow...

Switch the pointer between arrow and pen: Ctrl+A changes the pointer to Arrow, and Ctrl+P changes it to the Pen
Quickly erase your writing from the slide: Pressing 'E' erases all the writings from the slide. Ctrl+E gives you the Eraser if you want to delete only some of the writings.
To show a white or a black screen: Pressing 'B' gives a Black screen, and 'W' a White
Jump to n'th slide: type the number n and press enter (e.g., '7' followed by enter will jump to 7th slide)
If you forget keyboard shortcuts: Pressing F1 during the slideshow pops up a list of keyboard shortcuts

To change case of text : Select the text and keep pressing Shift+F3 till you get the case you want.
To draw a perfect square, circle or a perfectly horizontal/vertical line : Hold shift key while you are drawing
To change one shape to another: Select the AutoShape that you want to change. On the Drawing toolbar click 'Draw', point to 'Change AutoShape', point to a category, and then click the shape you want. E.g.,

To rehearse timing: Use the 'Rehearse timing' features (under 'Slide show' menu)
If you want a miniature version of a one slide inside another slide (see the example below): You can insert one slide in another slide. Choose Insert > Object... and choose PowerPoint slide.

... select the two objects and use the following menu item.

Some lesser-known 'gems' of keyboard shortcuts :

Insert a new slide	CTRL+M
Make a duplicate of the current slide	CTRL+D
Start a slide show from current slide	Shift+F5
Promote a paragraph	ALT+SHIFT+LEFT ARROW
Demote a paragraph	ALT+SHIFT+RIGHT ARROW
Make text larger	CTRL+SHIFT+GREATER THAN SIGN (>)
Make text smaller	CTRL+SHIFT+LESS THAN SIGN (<)
Apply subscript formatting	CTRL+EQUAL SIGN (=)
Apply superscript formatting	CTRL+PLUS SIGN (+)
Open the 'Font' dialog box	CTRL+T
View guides	CTRL+G
Insert a hyperlink	CTRL+K
