Lab Alumnus Elevated to IEEE Fellow

Professor Bin Cui Elevated to IEEE Fellow

Professor Bin Cui, a lab alumnus and former PhD student of Professor Ooi Beng Chin, is elevated to IEEE fellow in acknowledgement of his contributions to large-scale data management, processing and analytics.

Professor Cui received his B.Sc. from Xi’an Jiaotong University (Pilot Class) in 1996, and Ph.D. from National University of Singapore in 2004 respectively. His research interests include database system architectures, query and index techniques, big data management and mining. He is currently a professor and vice dean in School of Computer Science at Peking University, Beijing, China.
