•Syntactic features alone do not outperform
the simple text categorization (bag-of-words)

We have conducted an
experiment to verify the effectiveness of using syntax features.
As you can see, the
results show that the more complex the syntax feature is, the more effective
the categorization task it can perform.
From the experiment
we can conclude that syntax features alone can perform a certain level of
categorization task. However, it can not outperform the simple bag-of-words
baseline.
