CS6203 -- Advanced Topics in Database Management Systems

LITERATURE REVIEW and PRESENTATION


This is an important part of CS6203. Presenting research papers encourages active learning, stimulates discussion, and helps create new ideas.
Papers will be presented by individuals. Students will take turn to present for 5 weeks!

Students should

  1. study a set of papers thoroughly and do necessary background investigation
  2. argue the motivation for the work in the area
  3. provide a taxonomy and classification on existing work
  4. discuss the strengths and weaknesses of each proposal
  5. present your idea (if any)

The students should make their presentation transparencies and report available to other students. No copying of diagrams is allowed (that is, you have to create your examples and diagrams).
