Three Eagles
Three eagles in the sky. |
Three eagles flying high. |
Determined to meet all-might, |
Beating wings with warmest pride. |
Three eagles in the sky. |
Three eagles like soaring kites. |
Playing and singing as they fly, |
Brothers were they, bonded tight. |
Three eagles in the sky. |
Three eagles approaching night. |
Wings are tired but spirits’ alright, |
Winds blowing fine, stars are bright. |
Three eagles in the sky. |
Three eagles out of sight. |
Oldest one blind, out of light, |
Gives up struggle, looses flight. |
Two eagles now in the sky. |
Two eagles still sharing fight. |
Stars are back, now joyless sight, |
Winds, once friendly, with touches bite. |
Two eagles in the sky. |
Two eagles flying wide. |
Breaths are but gasps and sighs, |
Withering weak, another bids g’bye. |
A lone eagle now in the sky. |
A lone eagle on ethereal heights. |
Remorseful in his struggles futile, |
Won’t surrender however, may he die! |
A lone eagle beyond the sky. |
A lone eagle who drowned upside. |
Wings scaling sun’s huge shine, |
Casts a shadow underneath divine. |
