I came to Arnhem mainly to visit some of the attractions outside the city.
I took a train from Arnhem to Apeldoorn (transfer at Zutphen ) and then took bus #102 to Paleis Het Loo. This palace was used by the Dutch royal family. It was designed in 1685 by Daniel Marot for William III and his queen, Mary, shortly before he acceded to the throne of England and Scotland.
It was very a sunny day, and the temperature was very warm. The aircon in my hotel ( Best Western Hotel Haaarhuis ) was not working. They had put a fan inside the room, but the room was still very warm.
