I moved to Amsterdam today. It was a sunny day and the weather was very warm. Luckily, there was air-con in the hotel ( Hilton Amsterdam ) I was staying in.

In the afternoon, I visited the Van Gogh Museum. Despite having the Museumkaart, I still need to pay € 3.50 for the entrance fee. There were many tourists visiting this museum. Luckily there was no queue at the ticket counters. I saw long queues outside the Madame Tussaud (Amsterdam).

In the evening, I walked from the hotel to the Concertgebouw for the Summer Tour 2004 concert (Programme B) of the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester. They played Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 3 in D minor, with conductor van Fischer. The acoustics of the concert hall was very good. The orchestra's performance was generally good, though I had heard them play better.
