Verification and Validation

• Verification is the process of checking the model and the corresponding program(s) to ascertain that they performed as intended. Is the logic of the model correctly implemented?

• Validation is the process of determining whether the model, as a conceptualisation or an abstraction, is a meaningful and accurate representation (in important aspects) of the real system.
