The Medical Bioinformatics team at CTRAD currently has an open position for a computer scientist to join the team to conduct research work in genomics for the purpose of making clinically-relevant novel discoveries, for example, the identification of predictive biomarkers in cancer to enable us to identify subpopulations of patients who are most likely to respond to a given therapy. An interest and experience in data mining and machine learning would be ideal. Knowledge of R for statistical computing is preferable. It is NOT necessary for the candidate to have prior knowledge of biology or bioinformatics; however, a willingness to learn on the job is essential.
