I work on understanding and recommending future education, research and innovation directions of general computing, human-aware, responsible AI and biomedical and health informatics.
For education related activities:
I work on curriculum design and program advisory for Computing and AI programs. I submitted a working white paper on "Training AI Talent in Singapore” (2018-19) to local authorities for policy formulation consideration. Ideas and strategies suggested were also shared and well received at international forums on AI development and education plans in Singapore.
For public and industry related activites:
I work on public sector and industry-focused applied and translational research, technology review, and policy advisory, including topics in Health Sciences and Urban Design,
For AI and other scientific areas:
I work on scientific and policy advisory projects in Responsible AI – including ethical, governance and regulatory considerations of digital and AI technologies for positive social and economic impact, in general and in the context of COVID-19 pandemic response and recovery.
