- Mating of two kins causes an individuals and his siblings
to be ``promoted'' up a generation or two to that of his mate.
This introduces loops into the pedigree diagram.
- An example bad pegree diagram caused
by consanguineous multiple mating of ``6'' and ``13''.
- Default solution:
- Allow siblings to occupy different
levels in this case and
- Move mate from older generation
down to the level of mate from younger generation
- Alternative solution:
Use alias to convert consanguineous mating into ``normal'' mating
- Suppose x mate y is consanguineous
- Suppose x is from younger generation
- Introduce alias x'
- Replace x mate y by x' mate y
- Treat x' as orphan mate
